Statement of Purpose
The following statements refer and shall always only refer, unless otherwise stated, to the township of Mallacoota and its immediate District, as defined by the Association on the 28th April 2004.
Principle:
The Association will focus any and all of its efforts, resources and endeavours entirely and exclusively on the township of Mallacoota and District, as defined on 28th April 2004.
Purpose:
- To promote both nationally and internationally the township and District as a year-round tourist destination; and
- To expend its resources on those initiatives that promote and foster tourism and/or business opportunities that it has identified as providing the best opportunity to increase tourist visits in the "off season" (identified as May to August inclusive each calendar year); and
- To promote and foster civic pride, quality of service and standards of excellence in business, tourism and individual endeavours.
GOVERNING RULES
The Association shall, by consent and in its opinion:
- Initiate and/or promote only those projects that will enhance and/or maximise business opportunities and/or positive visitor experiences;
- promote and foster business and/or tourism initiatives that demonstrate a sensitive and responsible accord with both the natural and cultural history;
- promote and foster any business and/or tourism initiative that meets with its adopted standards of social/cultural and/or natural environmental sensitivity and responsibility;
- liaise with (but not limit itself to) those Tourism Associations, State and Federal Government Departments, Authorities and Organisations that will aid the Association in its pursuance of its aims, objectives and desired outcomes.
ASSOCIATION RULES
Adopted as per Consumer Affairs Victoria, Associations Incorporation Act (1981), Schedule 5, Model Rules for an Incorporated Association, inclusive of Amendments.
